The Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge Society is a 50 acre facility located at 7877 Skimikin Road in the Turtle Valley near Chase, BC. We are dedicated to rehabilitating and caring for unwanted, surrendered, abused and neglected donkeys. When donkeys are abused they require years of special care, costly vet and farrier work and years of love and devotion to heal the scars made by man. We are blessed to be able to facilitate this healing with love and care.

Miles To Go Before I Rest
Good afternoon, Everyone. Here I sit at the Calgary airport, over two hours early for my flight home. It was lovely to be able to visit friends and family for the past few days but even more lovely to think that I will soon be home. I had hoped to slip up to the Refuge tomorrow for an hour or two, especially after finding out that our newest donkey, Rosie has arrived. But it is not to be so I will have to be patient until Wednesday. My understanding is that Rosie is a rescue from an auction. I will have more details and a few pictures in the next few days. Don't forget that the Refuge is open to visitors on Wednesdays, Satursdays and Sundays. Check the Refuge website for directions and hours of operation. And, if you would like to share any comments or have any questions, you can use the "Comment" area just below each posting. Would love to hear from you.
Well, back to reading "The Everything Guide To Fundraising" until it is boarding time. Or maybe a nap. Hmmm!
