DONKEY PEDICURES

Today was a busy day on the farm. All the donkeys got their feet done by the farriers. They all stood like good girls and boys and waited as the farriers were late arriving because of the icy roads. All their feet were in good shape so the trimming went well. The donkeys even got a bit of a brush while they were waiting. I didn't get too aggresive with the brush as their hair keeps an air pocket close to their skin which helps them keep warm in this winter weather. After the farriers left I was busy harvesting worm castings from my worm bins. I will be going to the Enderby Seed Saver event in March and I will have the castings and the Worm Bins for sale . I sell the bins for $50.00 with worms and you just put your kitchen scraps into it for 3 to 4 months and harvest the compost for your garden. The worms produce a very concentrated soil fertilizer with very little work on your part. A very Easy Way to compost. I put donkey manure in my bins too so it makes for a very good soil booster. Spring is just around the corner and it will be all garden talk before we know it. Until next time.

  1. Wow sounds awesome, when we get settled I am going to start a worm bin myself. I found some free trial software for web design and I am going to pudder with it to see how hard it is to use. I take it the new farrier was still able to work well with Jose'(not sure of the spelling). Talk to you soon.
