The Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge Society is a 50 acre facility located at 7877 Skimikin Road in the Turtle Valley near Chase, BC. We are dedicated to rehabilitating and caring for unwanted, surrendered, abused and neglected donkeys. When donkeys are abused they require years of special care, costly vet and farrier work and years of love and devotion to heal the scars made by man. We are blessed to be able to facilitate this healing with love and care.

ANOTHER GREAT DONKEY CARE CLASS
Yesterday was our second donkey care class. The weather was lovely and donkeys were cooperative for the most part. This is not the same as taking the neighbour's dog for a walk. These are strong, beautiful creatures that give you the opportunity to realize your inner courage, patience and strength. That's the thrill of these classes. Most students say that they learn as much about themselves as they do about the donkeys. "I came; I saw; I conquered" - okay, a bit over the top but there is definitely a sense of achievement by the end of the class. The donkeys thank you, Rob, Shirley and Sean thank you, and most of all, YOUR HEART THANKS YOU.
