The final numbers for the
Pancake Breakfast are in and we are so pleased that we collected enough money to
pay for almost 75% of our newest veterinary bill.
Perhaps down the road
we will be able to save a portion of the proceeds from events like the breakfast
for a rainy day, but for now, being able to keep up with the bills is just
fine.

NEXT SPECIAL EVENT is the Thanksgiving Cele-BRAY-tion that takes
place October 6th and 7th. Harvest themed decorations, hot chocolate and
popcorn, a great selection of Christmas gifts and our wonderful 2013 calendars,
and a chance to mingle with other donkey enthusiasts. I can hardly wait to see
what Laura comes up with for decorations this year. Last year after she had
everything set up, our wonderful Sady went for a walk and decided that the
display was a dinner buffet just for her. Needless to say, it was do-over for
Laura as she reassembled what remained of her beautiful display. It still
looked amazing when she was done.
Don't miss the opportunity to see the
donkeys in their fall wardrobe. If you are anything like me you will have a
hard time recognizing some of the donkeys as they "fuzzy up". They are all such
cutie-patooties. Wonder what spotty Margherita will look like?
