A New Farm for the Donkeys

The Board of Directors of the Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge Society are very pleased to announce the purchase of their first  New and Permanent  Farm for the Donkeys. Located just up the road from the Lease Farm the 50 acres of all useable flat land with house is going to be made into a perfect home for the Resident Donkeys of the Refuge. To kick off our introduction of the New Donkey Farm we will be  hosting our 5th Annual Donkey Day Event on Saturday June 7 from 10:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the New Farm location.  Construction for the new and improved Donkey Barns commence May 3rd with much planning to be done before then.  To say we are excited is an understatement as we are all so pleased to be able to construct a Donkey Home which will provide all the needs that the Rehabilitating and Surrendered Donkeys require for a healthy and happy life.  Flat land which will enable us to build bigger paddocks for donkeys like Nova who loves to run or Lillie who has trouble walking in the snow on hilly ground and no more rocks to hurt Jenny's feet when she walks.  Bigger Barns to provide more space for the donkeys comfort  both inside and outside in the weather.  We hope you will join us this year in our  Journey of Building a Better Home for the Donkeys.  Stay tuned as we kick off our exciting 2014 Campaigns to assist with the Fundraising for the New Barns.  Join in  our journey by visiting the Donkey Refuge this year and visit both farms and watch the Donkey Magic unfold.  A Big Donkey Bray Out of Cheer for the Donkeys and their New Home.   Hip, Hip, Bray.
