Today
was another fun day at the Refuge. Hilda the mini donkey arrived at
the Refuge last year with her very best friend Margherita and we were
advised then that the donkeys were trained to drive. A buggy and two
sets of harness were recently donated by
a wonderful supporter named Karen MacGregor and today Rob finally had a
chance to try the harness on Hilda. She took to the harness and bit
just fine, reacted wonderfully with the ground driving and so the buggy
went on and away Rob went. Thanks Cheryl for all your help today. What
a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Hilda will be participating
in the Harness Demonstration at the
Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge Society
Thanksgiving Open House next Saturday and Sunday if you would like to
join us as we all begin to add to our enjoyment of the wonderful
pleasure of working with donkeys. Admission is Free.
