TWO NEW DONKEYS AT THE REFUGE

Good Morning, Everyone
Kaatje and Gerrit (a little camera shy?)
It is o'dark hundred here in Blind Bay and it is pitch black out there.  I had forgotten what night really looked like until we moved here.  It is amazing to watch the world reappear every morning as the light grows.  ....... Snap out of it Chris - you have news to share.
Yes, we have two new minis at the Refuge.  They arrived on Monday and were greeted by Kay and Paul, two of my fellow volunteers.  Shirley and Rob left the Refuge TOGETHER,  (many readers will now be saying "No - it can't be true") to pick up and deliver our new friends.
We really must get a two-donkey horse trailer
I haven't met the little ones yet but the pictures tell me that they are, as is common now, seriously overweight.  They are also need extensive dental work and, of course, and mani/peti from our farriers.  I don't know how snuggly our new boy and girl are but will find out tomorrow.

Gerrit - our new jack donkey
How are the sales of the children's story book coming, you ask.  Very well, thank you.  We have already pre-sold 37 copies.  I expect the books to arrive by the end of October so they will be for sale at our Shoppe and on line very soon.  If you wish to preorder, just send me a message at wolfebks@telus.net or to donkeyrefuge@gmail.com.

My husband and I moved from just north of Alberta to beautiful BC three years ago.  We golfed (not at all well) on Wednesday so of course Tom had to share our adventure with our friends from Alberta.  The replies are not printable in a family oriented blog but I must share one with a dear friend who commented that at least they didn't have to water the lawns now and we did.  Heehee - Ouch!  Anyway, hoping for some rain here then back to lovely sunshiny warm days for another month.
