Julio gets his pedicure from Jim
Yesterday was the day that all of our resident donkeys got their hoofs trimmed, filed and shaped. It is amazing to watch our farriers work so confidently with even the most jumpy of our donkeys. I have great respect for those little donkey hooves - they can pack quite the punch. And yet the farriers are able to get the donkeys to stand quite still while they dig and grind, snip and file away. As I said, Amazing! The mini herd is up in paddock 3 while construction takes place on the main barn overhang. Can't wait to see the finished project. Oh, and our two new donkeys, Happy and George, arrived yesterday. I will tell you about them after I meet them and learn their stories. Help us care for our wonderful donkeys. Donate - YOUR HEART WILL LOVE YOU!
